Dulcy M Williams St. Pierre

Dulcy Williams St. Pierre, 85 of Abilene, passed away at Hendrick Medical Center on Saturday morning June 20th, 2009. A service is scheduled for 11:00 am Monday June 22nd, 2009 at Piersall Chapel, 733 Butternut St. with a burial at 3:00 pm at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Abilene. A visitation is scheduled for today from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.

Dulcy was born to James Hughie Claxton; better know just as “Papa” and Annie Mae (Stevens) Claxton on Dec. 17, 1923 in Nugent, TX. On June 19, 1941 Dulcy married Roger G. "R.G." Williams, who passed away on May 21, 1963. On April 2, 1965 Dulcy married Eddy St. Pierre. He passed away on Dec. 21, 1999. Dulcy grew up in Abilene where she lived most of her life. Dulcy was a long time member of the Woodlawn Church of Christ. After moving to Coronado Nursing Home, she has been spiritually cared for by a group from the University Church of Christ.

Dulcy is survived by 3 sisters; Lerline Duncan and late husband “Mutt”, LaVern Mooty and husband Bill, Ruth Maxwell and husband Bud, all of Abilene. Five sons and one daughter; Roger Williams and wife Becky of Lubbock, TX, Glen Williams and wife Sandra of The Colony, TX, Steven Williams and wife Reisa of Burkburnett TX, Bruce Williams of Abilene, Terry St. Pierre and wife Karen of Abilene, and Brenda Dorsey of Katy TX. 13 grand children; Dawn, Amber, Tammie, Kailee, Grace, Hank, Jenny, Zach, Scott, Steve, Mindy, Jason, and Sabrina. She had 10 great grand children: Olivia, Aaron, Morgan, Macie, Kailee, Blake, Koti, Hailee, Lilly and Aidan; and a host of nieces and nephews, and long time friend Joe Minshew. Dulcy was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, 2 sisters; Juanita Sartor and husband John, Frances Varnadore and husband Fred, 3 brothers; Lonnie Claxton, Odell Claxton and Charles Claxton.
