Bonnie Mignon Pitt Bailey, 68 of Abilene, passed away at a Hendricks Hospital May 30, 2016. A visitation with the family is scheduled for five to seven p.m. , Friday, June 3 at Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut St. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 4 in the Hillcrest Church of Christ Auditorium, 650 East Ambler Ave, with Terry Brown officiating. A graveside service will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park.
Bonnie was born in Memphis, Tennessee on January 29, 1948 to Andrew Martin and Janice May Pitt. She was raised in Tennessee and after graduating high school went to Harding College where she met the love of her life Fred Bailey.
Bonnie found her greatest joy in being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. For over 30 years she was an administrative assistant at Abilene Christian University where she found immense satisfaction in shepherding young men and women towards their life-goals.
Surviving Bonnie is her husband Fred; daughter, Amber Bailey Perez and husband Edward; two sons, Alex Bailey and wife Ali and Stan Bailey and wife Jessi; and brother Paul Pitt and wife Sharon as well as six grandchildren KC, Ian, Brayden, Boston, Sam and Piper, and two great-grandchildren Scarlett and Melina. She was preceded in death by her parents.
