Lisa Christine Duncan, 51 of Abilene, passed away at a local medical facility on Saturday, March 26, 2016. Funeral services will be on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut Street. Burial services will be at 3:00 p.m. at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery of Abilene. A time to visit with the family will be on Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Piersall Funeral Directors.

Lisa was born on September 22, 1964 in Providence, Rhode Island to David Weaver and Alicia Rye. Upon her graduation from high school, Lisa joined the Army and served as a chemical, nuclear and biological test administrator at Fort Carson, Colorado. After her honorable discharge from the Army, Lisa attended college at Louisiana State University and graduated with a degree in Accounting. On October 15, 2008, Lisa married James Duncan, her soul mate, and the couple relocated to Abilene. Lisa was a loving wife, mother and Mimi and considered her grandchildren to be her entire world.

Lisa was preceded in death by her mother, Alicia Baron. She is survived by her father, David Weaver; her husband James Duncan of Abilene; son Zachary McGinnis of Snohomish, Washington; daughters Amber Burleson( Michael ) of Shreveport, Louisiana; Ashley Davis (Trenton) of Goodland, Kansas and Kristin Campbell of New Jersey; father-in-law Irving Duncan (Laverne) of San Antonio, Texas; two brothers Darrell Poole(Christine) of Alexandria, Louisiana and Chad Weaver (Melissa) of Jonesboro, Louisiana; Two sisters Daneli Weaver of Louisiana and Sarah Peveto (Brad) of Arkansas; sister-in-law Natalie Debella of San Antonio and six beautiful grandchildren Cayden and Emrie Burleson, Aaralynn Davis, Zachary, Finnley and Taytum Mcginnis, and Stella, our dogter.
