Alexandro B. Mesa, 58 of Abilene, passed away in his home, surrounded by his family, on Sunday, February 28, 2016. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church, 2525 Westview Drive. Visitation and Rosary will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut Street.
Alexandro was born in Abilene on May 22, 1957 to Jesus Mesa and Ramona Bosquez. He spent most of his life in Abilene working as a roofer, with the exception of 10 years he spent roofing in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Alexandro loved his family and he will be missed by them and his many friends.
Alexandro was preceded in death by his father, Jesus Mesa; his grandparents Pablo and Frances Garcia; his brother Freddy Mesa; uncle Pablo Mesa and cousins Danny J. Martinez and Oscar Mesa. He is survived by his brothers Rudy Mesa of Ohio and Robert Mesa, Sr. of Abilene; sisters Patricia Escobedo of Bridgeport, Texas and Mary Lou Reyes of Stamford; aunt Rosa Garcia of Abilene and aunt Mary Ann Stokes of Abilene; uncle Ted Garcia of Abilene and nephews Robert Mesa, Jr. and Isaac Mesa of Abilene and Joshua Mesa of Ohio; many cousins and his beloved dog, Big Mama.
