Joyce D. Bird was born in Great Bend, Kansas to George Judy and Charlotte Lohrer Judy on August the 18th, 1945. She spent most of her life in California where she developed her love of horses. She used that love to teach others how to ride and care for horses. She was an accomplished barrell racer and capable of breaking horses as well.
Much of Joyces adult life was spent around the Stephenville area. On March 11, 2000 she married Freddie Bird in Dublin, Texas. They only had a few years together, but they were some of the happiest of her life. Joyce moved to Abilene a year ago after Freddie's death. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church where she loved to volunteer.
Joyce will be greatly missed by her sons; Philip Mosher of Grandbury, and James Mosher of Abilene, her parents; Charlotte and Hans DeWinter of Utah, Sisters; JoAnn Cohen of California, and Marion Green of Montana and three grandchildren; Kendra and Amber Mosher and Elizabeth Hamilton as well as many good friends especially Jerry Ann Mosher who has blessed our family with so much kindness during this difficult time.
