Martha Nell Stucker

Martha Nell Stucker, 75, of Abilene passed away on January 11, 2015 at a local medical facility. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 13 from 5pm to 7pm at Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut Street. The services for Nell will be at Pioneer Drive Baptist church at 2:00pm on Wednesday conducted by Jeff Reid with a private family burial to follow at Elmwood Memorial Park.

Nell Stucker was born in Mertens, Texas to Reverend James and Mozelle Freeman. She is a long time resident of Abilene. Nell was a hair stylist and wedding coordinator. She came to Abilene in 1969 and had owned her own salon and worked in various other shops during her career. Nell loved to read and make jewelry and studied the newest fashion. She made many friends during her working career and will be greatly missed by them.

Nell is survived by her sons Bruce Stucker and wife Charlotte, James Stucker and wife Sheila, Bill Stucker, and Lee Stucker and wife Luci, grandchildren Bryan Stucker, Michelle Stucker, Adam McDonald, Michael Stucker, Chris Stucker, and John T. Johnson II. In addition, she is survived by 9 great grandchildren and her brothers James and wife Janet Freeman and Robert Freeman, and sisters Ruth Minker and Bobbie and Garth Landtroop and Betty Waits, along with many nieces and nephews. Nell will be greatly missed by her family, friends and extended family.
