Larry Boatright

Larry Boatright, 48, of Abilene, passed away at his home Thursday October 16th, 2008. A visitation is scheduled for Saturday October 18th, 2008 from 5-7 pm at Piersall Benton Funeral Home, 733 Butternut St.

Larry was born to Travis Gene Boatright and Lupe Lujan on October 12th, 1960 in Hamlin, Texas. He spent most of his early years in Dallas but moved to Abilene as a teenager where he spent the rest of his life. He met and married the love of his life Shannon 20 years ago on the 21st of October. Larry was a great mechanic and a Jack-of-all trades, but his favorite role was that of “Pa-Pa” to his 9 grandchildren. He was a member of Faith Tabernacle in Tye.

Larry is survived by his wife, his mother, two sons; Chris W. Boatright and Cassey D. Williams, three daughters; Lindy Villanueva, Lacey Castenada, and Misty Boatright, four borthers; David Gene Boatright, T. Gene Boatright, Louis W. Thamez II, and Roberto G. Del Angel, two sisters; Tammy Boatright, and Elizabeth Flores, as well as many other family members and close friends. Larry was preceded in death by his father.
