Scott was born Howard Scott Poe on June 1, 1969 at Hendrick Memorial Hospital in Abilene. He lived his entire life in Abilene, except for a short time in Dallas. He went to Abilene area schools, Bonham Elementary, Lincoln Junior High and graduated in 1988 from Wylie High School. Most of his working career was spent with Albertson’s and United Supermarkets, at which he received several employee excellence awards. During the past several years, he was unable to work due to worsening health problems which ultimately resulted in his death. During those years, he loved his television and music as well as his yard when he was able to pursue that.
He is survived by his mother, Linda Harshberger, and his stepfather Rafe Harshberger, of Abilene. He is also survived by his uncle, Ron Hart and his step- brothers Andy & Dale Harshberger. Scott will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A special thanks to Vince Robertini, Scott’s best friend and caregiver, and Caprock Home Health & Encompass home Health.
