Justen Rogers

Justen Lee Rogers, 28, formerly of Abilene, passed away on September 14, 2014 in Norfolk, Virginia. There will be a visitation for Justen on Sunday, September 21, from 6-8pm at Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut St. in Abilene, Texas. The service will be held on Monday, September 22, at 2:00pm in the main auditorium at Highland Church of Christ with a private family burial to follow.

Justen was born to Darin and Tammy Rogers on September 2, 1986 in Plano Texas. Justen attended and graduated from Clyde High School. Justen was genuine and had a very kind spirit. His handsome smile would brighten any room and he had a way about him that made everyone he met feel they had been friends forever. He was an expert at making a boring time turn out to be the best time ever. Justen loved to cook for his friends and could whip up some mean ribs that would melt in your mouth. Justen enjoyed being outdoors and could turn a pile of rocks into a beautifully designed work of art. He was such a sweet and gentle person and was a friend to many people. Justen was blessed with a very personable nature making him an excellent salesman. His thoughtfulness and generosity remembered especially by his parents and wife, has continued by his Organ Donation and the gift to life to many others. His memory will live on in our hearts, we will miss him dearly and loved him exactly the way he was. He was perfect the way God made him and now is in His presence.

Justen met his beautiful wife Felicia Ann Jeanette Roberts and they married on October 29, 2012 here in Abilene.

Justen was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Billie Sisk and grandfather Jerry Hughes as well as his paternal grandfather Ollie Rogers. He is survived by his wife Felicia Rogers, his mom and dad Tammy and Scott Thurman, a sister Ashley McNally and brother in law Jeremy Mcnally, nephew Shane and niece Scarlett McNally. His younger brothers Taylor Rogers, who has a significant other Kinzie Wertz all of Abilene, TX. and Garret Thurman of Arlington TX. He is also survived by his grandpa Charles and Grandma Dolly Gremminger and memaw Eddie Hughes. His father Darin Rogers and grandmother Barbara Rogers of Bloomington, Indiana. Justen will be greatly missed by his many aunts uncles and cousins of Abilene and Midland Texas, and family members of Bloomington, Indiana.
