Lucille "Lucy" Elliott

January 18, 1914 — August 22, 2008

Mrs. Lucy Elliott passed away Friday evening, August 22nd, at Northern Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in January of 1914 to John Harkey and Oxanna Beene Harkey in Itawamba County, Mississippi. Lucy was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, five sisters, and her husband Joe E. Elliott. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John L. and Sharon Robinson of Abilene, two grandsons and their wives, seven great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews and their families.

Mrs. Elliott lived most of her life in Memphis, Tennessee. In August of 2007 she moved to Abilene where she resided at University Place until her terminal illness. She was a member of South Eleventh and Willis Church of Christ in Abilene.

At Mrs. Elliott’s request, there will be no funeral services. Any memorials may be made to “Sam’s Place” orphanage in care of the South Eleventh and Willis Church of Christ. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.pbfuneraldirectors.com.
