Barbara Evelyn Harper

Barbara Harper, 74 of Abilene, passed away Monday, December 30, 2013 at Hendrick Medical Center. A service is scheduled for 2:00pm Saturday, January 4, 2014 at The Church @ The Cross, 3081 Edgemont. A visitation will be held at the church at 1:00pm prior to the service. Arrangements are being handled by Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut St.

Barbara Evelyn Harper was born on March 22, 1939 in Salinas, California to Cecil and Stella Downs Hinson. She was an active member of the Assembly of God- "The Church @ the Cross" in Abilene, Texas but she lived in Merkel. Barbara loved music and singing but especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Preceding Barbara in death were her parents and her husband Marion Earl Harper. She is survived by three sons, Robert H. Cullum Jr. and wife Jeanette, Gregory D. Cullum and Bryon K. Cullum as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and close friends, all of whom will miss her very much.
