Jack Brigman

Jack Brigman, 70, of Abilene, passed away at his home on Saturday, November 23, 2013. A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 26th at Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut St. A time of visitation with the family will be held following the service.

Jack David Brigman was born on November 28, 1942 in Deming, New Mexico to Floyd and Doris Brigman. He graduated from high school in Stockdale, Texas and went on to attend Abilene Christian College where he majored in Accounting. As a junior at ACU, he met the love of his life, Marsha Miller, and they were married shortly after his graduation in 1965. Marsha and Jack spent their entire married life in Abilene.

Jack had many loves; any type of athletic event, most often involving ACU, watching Jaxon play golf and later his granddaughters play tennis, and his most recent love, baseball. He could tell you most anything you needed to know about any one of them. He loved when he had his family together. He was a loyal and devoted friend and a man with a great heart. Jack excelled in his profession as a CPA and through the years worked with oil and gas companies, independently and most recently as an accountant with Davis Kinard and Company.

Surviving Jack are his wife Marsha, his daughter, Kelli Walker and husband John, his son, Jaxon Brigman, a brother, Henry Brigman and his wife Iris of Calera, OK, a sister in law, Edyne Blair and her husband Duane, a brother in law, Cary Miller and his wife Brenda, four grandchildren; Jaclyn Withrow and husband Chris, Madelyn Walker, Erin Walker, and Malyn Brigman, as well as one great grandson, Walker, and a host of extended family members and close friends. His parents, a sister, Jean Brigman, and a granddaughter, Tatum Brigman, preceded him in death.
