Dennis "Buddy" W. Bynum

Dennis “Buddy” W. Bynum, 65 of Abilene, passed away at a local nursing center on Wednesday, October 16, 2013. A visitation is scheduled from 10:00 am to noon, Friday, October 18, 2013 at Piersall Benton Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut Street.

Buddy was born on April 26, 1948 in Springer, New Mexico to Wade Coogan and Iva Geneva Ayers. Buddy moved to Abilene in 1977 so that his daughter April could go to the West Texas Rehabilitation Center. While living in Abilene, Buddy worked in the construction industry for Harris Acoustics.


Surviving Buddy are his wife, Gayle, son Bronco, daughters; Tamara Simmons and Kana Thomason, and brother Don Bynum and his wife Sharon, as well as nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Sue Holmes, daughter April Bynum and two great grandchildren; Starlynn Gibson and Miley Chea' Goebel.
