Ola Mae Jenkins

Ola Mae Jenkins, 87, passed away at an Abilene Hospital Wednesday April 9th, 2008. Funeral services will be held at the Piersall Benton Funeral Directors Chapel, 733 Butternut St, at 11:00 am Saturday, April 12th with Jimmy Stevens and James Tebow officiating. Burial will follow at the Hamby Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for 5:30 to 7:30 pm Friday at the funeral home.

Ola Mae was born on May 19, 1920 in Hamilton, Texas to Francis Alvin Crawford and Ola Caddell Crawford. She married Olen Jenkins in June 15, 1940 and they were married for over 56 years. Together they owned and operated Waugh’s Cleaners. Mrs. Jenkins was a member of 7th and Locust Church of Christ.

Mrs. Jenkins was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one brother; Earl Crawford, and one Sister; Bernice Crawford. She is survived by two sons; Phillip Jenkins and wife Lana and Dewayne A. Jenkins, a Daughter, Andrea Kotera; Two sisters, Fae (Mrs. R.C.) Stevens of Plainview and Ruby Noel of Austin; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
