Amber (Mcbeth) Thomas

Amber (McBeth) Thomas, 40 of Abilene, passed away in an automobile accident on April 10, 2013. A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday April 26, 2013 in the First Baptist Church Sanctuary with Palmer McCown officiating.

Amber was born on December 15, 1972 in Abilene, Texas to Larry McBeth and Jeanine Hardin. She grew up in Abilene and graduated from Abilene High School. Amber married the love of her life Freddy "Bubba" Thomas on October 30, 1992. Together they had three wonderful children Justin, Shelby and Hunter.


For ten years Amber worked as a Preschool Minister for the First Baptist Church of Abilene. She loved the children and enjoyed the friends she made there. She also worked as a site manager for the Cross Plains Senior Citizens Center for a few years. Recently she was able to do her favorite job which was to work with her husband and son in their family car business. Amber was a loving and caring mother who truly enjoyed helping others in any way she could.

Surviving Amber are her husband, Bubba Thomas, sons; Justin and Hunter Thomas, a daughter Shelby Thomas, her father, Larry McBeth, a brother Jon Christopher McBeth, and a sister Sara McBeth, as well as many aunts, uncles, step siblings, extended family members and close friends. She was preceded in death by her mother Jeanine Wharton.
