Jerry Wayne Parnell

Jerry Wayne Parnell, 55, of Abilene passed away Monday March 17, 2008 at his home. He was born July 24, 1952 in Canon, CO to Donald Parnell and Goldie Taylor Parnell the first of 11 children. Jerry lived in a number of places during his life but fell in love with Texas, where he has made his home the last 22 years.

Mr. Parnell worked as a technician for Martin Sprocket and Gear where he truly enjoyed the friendships of his co-workers. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Kelly. He is survived by two daughters; Amy and Kristin Parnell of Aravada, CO, six brothers; Donald, Ronald, Michael, Tracey, Scott, and Jimmy, three sisters; Sandy Jaquez, Vicky Parnell and Sharon Dowell, and two grandsons.

A visitation will be held Monday March 24th, 2008 from 2-4 pm at Piersall Benton Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut St. A memorial service will be held in Colorado at a later date. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.pbfuneraldirectors.com.
