Jubal Colvin

Jubal Colvin, 39, left this world Monday, March 11, 2013 in Lubbock, Texas. There will be a visitation for friends from 2-3 pm on Sunday, March 17th in the Chapel at Piersall Benton Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut Street. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Abilene.

Jubal was born June 11, 1973 in Harlingen, Texas to Terry and Thelma Colvin. He relocated to Abilene at the age of 5 with his mother. He attended all of his school days here in Abilene. He graduated from Abilene High in 1991. Jubal went on to explore but came back home. He attended TSTC starting in 2001 and graduated in 2003. He studied Digital Imaging and Design. This is where he met the love of his life, Francis Herrera. He was a teacher in the digital imaging department for over a year and went on to excel in other aspects of his abilities in other careers. Jubal’s talents were limitless. He found a niche helping others with home improvement while working at Home Depot.

He was preceded in death by his father, Terry Colvin. He is survived by his mother, Thelma Colvin, his fiancé Francis Herrera, four uncles, Joe Pryor, Bob Pryor, Jim Pryor and John Pryor, his Aunt Shirley Coffman, several cousins and numerous friends. Jubal loved life, mostly family and friends. Music was a big part of his life. Jubal will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
