Lindsey Elise Pruett

Lindsey Elise Pruett, 29, passed away during her sleep in her home on December 10, 2012. A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm, Saturday December 15, 2012 at Hillcrest Church of Christ. A visitation will be held Friday evening from 5-6:30 pm at Piersall Benton Funeral Home, 733 Butternut St.

Lindsey was born October 4, 1983 in Abilene, Texas to Charlie and Debra Pruett while on furlough from mission work in Antigua, West Indies. Returning to the states when she was two, Lindsey lived in San Antonio through Kindergarten. In 1990, she and her family moved to Abilene. She started Abilene Christian Schools in first grade and graduated from ACS in 2002. Lindsey attended Abilene Christian University as a nursing major. For the last several years, she has been an administrative assistant at Abilene Christian Schools. She was a member of Hillcrest Church of Christ.

Lindsey had a contagious smile that lit the room as she entered. Her personality was spunky, sweet, and sprinkled with a little sassy. She never knew a stranger and was an instant friend to all she met. She had a caring heart, always wanting to help others. Lindsey will be remembered as a shining light to many and be greatly missed.

Surviving Lindsey are her parents Dr. C.D. and Debra Pruett, a sister Lauren Pruett-Rogers and husband Jason of Shreveport, LA, a brother Zack Pruett and wife Tami of Plano, Texas, a boyfriend, Josh Tope of Abilene as well as several nieces and nephews and many other extended family members and close friends.
