Margaret Louise Grantham

Margaret Louise Grantham, 80, formerly of Denton, Texas passed into the arms of her loving savior on October 26, 2012 at Care Inn Nursing Facility in Abilene, TX. She was married to James W. Grantham who preceded her in death in 1985. A devoted wife and mother, she worked as a legal secretary and later aided her husband by running the office in their cotton ginning business.

She is survived by four children, Randy Grantham of Tuscaloosa, AL, Doug Grantham of Denton, Robin Womack and Elizabeth Gillespie, both of Abilene, TX. She was blessed with ten grandchildren, Charles Grantham, Matthew Grantham, Eric Grantham, Chelsey Grantham Ellis, Kristen Grantham, Mason Womack, Seth Womack, Garrett Gillespie, Brad Gillespie, and Emily Gillespie. She had nine great-grandchildren and was preceded in death by a great-grandson. She is also survived by two sisters, Velda Simon of Jennings, OK and Rita Reaves of Denton.

A funeral service will be held at Piersall Benton Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut St. in Abilene, TX at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 30, 2012. Graveside will follow at Snyder Cemetery (Avenue E and FM 1673) in Snyder, TX. A visitation with the family will be held Monday evening from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
