Wesley Preston Brown

Wesley Preston Brown (Bit), 51, passed away Monday November 5, 2007 at an Abilene hospital. A Memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Thursday November 8, 2007 at the Piersall-Benton Funeral Directors Chapel, 733 Butternut St. with Pastor Lupe Palacio officiating.

Preston was born to Alfred Preston Brown and Jorene Rister Brown in Abilene October 3, 1956. Preston’s parents passed away when he was very young. He spent some of his youth growing up with his grandparents Louis and Eula Mae Rister. Preston also was raised by his mothers good friend Dorothy and Zack Greer, whom he considered as second parents. He shared his life with the Greer children; Lynn, Bobbie, Valerie, Dempsey, Cindy, Maggie and Eric and considered them as his brothers and sisters. He developed many close friendships in the community and spent much of his time working with his good friend Gary Corpian at the car lot. Preston loved cars and racing. One of his favorite pastimes was watching football and baseball on TV.

Preston is survived by his son Bryant Brown of Denton; brother Daryl Brown of Houston; a brother Charlie Brown of San Angelo; sister Lelea Joy Shedd of Warner-Robbins, Georgia; along with many cousins and other family members.
