Susan N. Lipford

Susan Nanette Lipford, age 60, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2012 surrounded by family and friends. A memorial service under the direction of Piersall Funeral Directors will be held to honor Susan on Sunday, April 15, at 2:00 pm in the Fulks Theater at the Williams Performing Art Center on the Abilene Christian University campus located at the corner of Judge Ely Boulevard and E.N. 16th. Family visitation will follow the service in the north lobby.

Susan was born on September 8, 1951, to Harold and Jeannette Lipford in Abilene, TX. She graduated from Abilene Christian University and worked as a design engineer in Houston, TX, Worcester, MA and Nashville, TN. Susan was full of life and had a very adventurous spirit that was contagious to those around her. She was gracious and welcoming to everyone that she met and enjoyed being with her many dogs and cats through her life.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Guy and Bess Scruggs of Abilene, TX, William and Mabel Lipford of Fort Worth, TX, her Aunt Jo Lipford, her Uncle Sonny Lipford both of Fort Worth, TX. Her Aunt and Uncle Jo Ann and Robert Scruggs of San Antonio, TX.

She is survived by her parents, two sisters, Cindy Hudson of Franklin, TN and Amy Wright of Corpus Christi, TX., her four nephews Aaron and Zack Hudson, Parker and Boone Haynes. One niece, Marnie Kate Hudson and one great niece, Kyelee Hudson.

Susan and her family request in lieu of flowers a memorial donation be made in her name to Autumn Leaves Nursing Center, 1010 Emerald Isle Dr, Dallas, TX 75218.
