Donnie Wayne Neal

Donnie Wayne Neal, 65 of Abilene, passed away at his home on Thursday March 31, 2011. A service is scheduled for Monday April 4th at 10:00 am in the Piersall Benton Chapel, 733 Butternut St. with burial to follow at the Potosi Cemetery. Viewing will be held before the service only.

Donnie Wayne Neal was born in Seymour, Texas on January 12, 1946 to Wayne Monroe Neal and Robbie Shelley Neal. He grew up in Abilene and graduated from Abilene High School and went on to attend Hardin Simmons University. For most of his adult life Donnie was in law enforcement and served as a Sheriff's deputy in both Irving and in Abilene. Later in life he drove a bus for City Link in Abilene so he would have time to care for his mother. Donnie loved his family and was kind to everyone he came into contact with.

Surviving Donnie is his mother Robbie Keesee, a brother, David Alan Neal and wife Denise, two special aunts, Tommie Skinner and Dorothy Berryman as well as many other extended family members and close friends. He was preceded in death by his father and his wife.
