Jonathan Allyn Arledge

Jonathan Allyn Arledge, 22 of Midland, passed away January 29, 2011 in a Dallas Hospital. A service honoring his life is scheduled for 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at the Piersall Benton Chapel, 733 Butternut St. with a burial to follow at the Dewey Cemetery in Lawn. A visitation with the family will be held Monday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.

Jonathan was born on February the 2nd, 1988 in Abilene, Texas to Wesley Arledge and Frances Cole Arledge. He spent much of his life in Abilene where many of his extended family live, but had lived in Midland with his parents for the last 9 years. He was a graduate of Midland Lee High School and was currently attending Midland College.

Having Cystic Fibrosis was a challenge for Jonathan but he never allowed it to get the best of him. He had a wonderful sense of humor, a love of family that was unmatched and a great sense of what it meant to be a true friend.

Surviving Jonathan are his parents, his grandparents, a great-grandmother, his fiancé, Brandi Michelle Kittley, two brothers; Thomas Aaron Arledge and Marcus Ivan Harper, a sister, Chrystell Lynn Cole, a nephew, Aurelius Dangelo Harper, and four nieces; Krystiana Cole, Kierra and Zahkeri Moore, and Makhari Harper. In addition, he leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. Preceding him in death were his grandmother, Lucile Arledge, and aunt, Shirley Arledge.
