Ellen White Campbell

Ellen White Campbell, 81, of Abilene, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025, at Hendrick Hospice Care Center.  A memorial service will be on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Hendrick Home for Children, 2758 Jeanette Street.  Arrangements under the direction of Piersall Funeral Directors, 733 Butternut Street.

Ellen was born to William Grady and Hazel Byars White in Colorado City, Texas on December 23, 1943.  She was raised on a farm outside of Dunn, Texas and graduated from high school in Colorado City.  Ellen moved to Abilene in 1973, working as an office manager for Woods Psychiatric Institute and as an educational specialist for Hendrick Medical Center.

Family was very important to Ellen; she enjoyed baking and celebrating holidays at her house with all her loved ones. Her favorite past times include scrapbooking, sewing and crafting.

Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, son Doug Bond, siblings Bob White and wife Nelda Jean, Elouise Roemisch and husband Joe, Foy "Butch" White, Andy White, Joyce Bond and Gwendolyn White,  She is survived by daughter Danette Jackson, daughter-in-law Lisa Bond, sister-in-law Doris White, granddaughters Amber Bond, Amanda Bond, Bethany Daniels, Alyssa Cummings and Kara McGough, 2 great grandchildren, Max and Naysa, and her constant companion, her cat, Jonesy.
